Regency Era Library
This is a period piece that I have been working on recently. It's not quite finished, but here are some WIP shots.
This piece is influenced by a concept character I created while researching early British explorers. Some of the early British explorers had quite colorful lives, both publicly and privately, so I felt it was a good topic to explore digitally.
Lord Magnus Darkfel is a Regency Era explorer steeped in magic and mystery from the savage corners of the globe. He is an avid collector of books, gemstones, and the skeletons of the undead and mythical creatures. He prides himself on his wealth, demeanor, and collection.
I plan to continue polishing and pushing this piece to completion. It was made using Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush, and rendered in Unity3D. All shaders and post processing effects are of my own creation, many of the algorithms for the shaders can be found in my shaders section here.
